Kazakhstan takes part in Space & Global Security of Humanity int'l symposium

ASTANA. November 4. KAZINFORM. /Sara Kabikyzy/ First International Specialized Symposium "Space & Global Security of Humanity" is held on November 2-7 in Limassol, Cyprus.

The event was organized by the International Academy of Astronautics, Russian Academy of Cosmonautics named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky and International Association "Znanie". It is devoted to the issue of creation of an international aerospace system of monitoring of natural and man-made disasters.

Heads and representatives of space agencies, scientific-research centers, institutes, aerospace companies as well as governments of 34 countries including the USA, Japan, Germany, Canada, Italy, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus take part in the symposium.

The Kazakh delegation consisting of chiefs of "Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary" JSC and "National Center of Space Research and Technologies" JSC is headed by Chairman of the National Space Agency Talgat Mussabayev.

Mr. Mussabayev told the participants about the country's space industry development. President of "Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary" JSC G. Murzakulov spoke about the role of creation of the earth remote sensing space system in forecasting of natural and man-made disasters in Kazakhstan.
