As the OSCE official said, he was a Chairman-in-Office of the Organization in 1999 when Norway chaired the international structure. In this regard he completely understands how exacting and hard this work is. Assessing the results of the work of our country as the OSCE chairman he said: "Kazakhstan was the first post-soviet state to assume the responsibility of the OSCE presidency. Your country took seriously the duties imposed on it and was not afraid of solving difficult issues of the agenda. I am satisfied with the cooperation with the Kazakhstan's chairmanship".

Besides, Knut Vollebaek expressed hope that all participants of the OSCE Summit would confirm their commitment to the agreements signed earlier, work out new directions of the activity and define prospects for further cooperation and development.
