Kazakhstan team won 3rd place in Intel ISEF 2009

ASTANA. May 18. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Team project of the school students of Kazakhstan on mathematics has been awarded with a III degree diploma at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2009) held in the city of Reno, Nevada, the USA.
According to Daryn National Scientific Centre, the authors of the project are Nazerke Bakhytzhan and Altynai Dzhumadildayeva, 11th grade students of the Zhautykov National Specialized Physic-Mathematics Boarding School. Besides, Kazakhstan was also represented there by Gabit Gabdullin, Shakhmardan Kayirzhan and Chingiz Zhumagulov. The competition brought together around 1500 students from 56 countries of the world. Young scientists presented their ideas, research results, demonstrated their inventions. All projects regard the most urgent problems of the world which can be resolved through scientific achievements, like climate change, oncological diseases, search for alternative sources of energy, road safety etc. The ISEF finalists are selected annually by the results of 550 events held worldwide. The jury of the competition consists 1 000 judges ? scientists, PhDs.
