Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC's net profit forecast to reach 117 bln in 2012

ASTANA. January 9. KAZINFORM The forecast net profit of "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" JSC is expected to reach 117 billion tenge upon the results of 2012. Head of the company Askar Mamin has made it public at today's session focused on the results of the work of the national carrier for 2012 and priority goals for 2013 today attended by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov.

"The net profit of the company is expected to reach 117 billion tenge which is twofold more against the level of 2008. The labor productivity made 5.3 million tenge per one person. This is 15% more than in 2011," A.Mamin said.

Besides, the turnover in rail freight transport of the country made 235.7 billion ton-kilometers in 2012. This is 5.4% more against 2011. The passenger turnover was up to 16.7 billion passenger-kilometers or 14% more than in 2011. The volume of investments reached the level of 499.5 billion tenge in 2012 or 1.3 times more than in 2011.

Besides, the head of "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" JSC told about the priority goals and forecasts of the company's activity for 2013.

"In 2013, the company must ensure achievement of operational and production financial indicators such as the freight turnover at the level of 236.7 billion ton-kilometers, passenger turnover at the level of 16 billion passengers, profit at the level of 922 billion tenge, net profit at the level of 125 billion tenge," A.Mamin emphasized.
