Kazakhstan Temir Zholy: sulphuric acid leakage near Taraz eliminated

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The consequences of sulphuric acid leakage from tank wagons which derailed near Taraz yesterday have been eliminated, reported the press service of JSC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NC".

Consequences of derailment of 7 cars loaded with sulfuric acid have been eliminated by employees of Zhambyl operating division. It bears to remind that the incident occurred on February 19 in the industrial zone of Taraz city. 7 tank wagons loaded with the dangerous chemical derailed and one of them leaked. No one was hurt. In order to eliminate the consequences the spill was immediately filled with lime. The cause of the derailment is still being investigated. Load of sulfuric acid was heading from Russia. The load's recipient is "Kazphosphate" LLP.
