Kazakhstan Temir Zholy to build 9 terminals by 2027

Kazakhstan Temir Zholy is actively engaged in the construction of its terminal network, which will enable to ramp up freight transportations and to ensure stable transportation prices, Kazinform News Agency learned from the company's press service.

The company currently uses five terminals, including China's largest dry port in Xi'an, where 40% of the total volume of container trains is processed.

Another five terminals be built by 2025, and four more terminals will be built in 2026.

The company also notes 30% increase in container transit transportations in the past three years - from 1 million TEU in 2021 to 1.3 million TEU in 2025.

The volumes of transportations along the TITR augmented by 25 times.
