The Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan has published a draft law restricting the establishment of quasi-public companies, Kazinform News Agency.

As the Ministry explains, this measure is taken in line with the President’s instruction to liberalize economy. The moratorium will be valid until December 31, 2026.

"The adoption of the law will increase the efficiency of state property management, reduce government’s involvement in business activity and create conditions for private sector development," reads the document.
