Kazakhstan, Thailand strike hands on space cooperation

ASTANA. May 2. KAZINFORM The National Space Agency of Kazakhstan "KazCosmos" and the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency of Thailand (GISTDA) signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the sphere of space activity.  "Kazakhstan speeds up development of the international cooperation," Chairman of Kazakhstan National Space Agency (NSA) Talgat Mussabayev said signing the document.

NSA cooperates with Russia, Ukraine, France, Germany, China, India, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Israel, Saudi Arabia and the UAE in the sphere of research and peaceful use of space.

The GISTDA Chairman noted he was surprised by the development rates of Kazakhstan space activity. The delegation visited spacecrafts control complex in Akkol town, the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute in Almaty and got familiarized with the construction of the national space center in Astana.
