ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan will allocate over USD 14 billion for construction of new roads, electricity networks and infrastructure over the next three years, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev told at the 8th Astana Economic Forum.

"More than 14 billion US dollars will be allocated for construction of new roads, electricity networks, infrastructure over the next three years," the President said.

As earlier reported, the forum brought together more than 3,000 delegates from 90 countries, including Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel, the UNDP Administrator Helen Clark, professor of Harvard University and Chief Economist at the International Monetary Fund (2001-2003) Kenneth Rogoff, and several Nobel Prize winners.

Future of the global economy, risks and necessary measures in the conditions of falling oil prices, issues of sustainable growth and attraction of foreign direct investment into Kazakhstan are in the focus of the forum this year.
