Kazakhstan to amend law on subsurface use

ASTANA. February 14. KAZINFORM This week, Kazakh Ministry of Oil and Gas announced its plans to amend the law on subsurface and subsurface use.

Kanatbek Safinov, executive secretary of the ministry, told "Oil and Gas: Kazakh content-2013" international forum in Astana Thursday the law is expected to be altered in April 2013.

"We will post the draft law on the ministry's website. We welcome suggestions from our subsurface users and supplier companies; we are ready to review it, examine it and improve it. We have already introduced a number of amendments, submitted by the subsurface users earlier. And we will continue this work in future," Mr. Safinov added.
