Kazakhstan to attract USD 30 bln foreign investments to non-primary sectors of economy
ASTANA. November 4. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakhstan plans to attract around USD 30 bln foreign investments to non-primary sectors of economy of Kazakhstan within the State Forced Industrial-Innovation Development Program. Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev said it at the press-conference in Astana.
'We think that non-primary sectors of economy including infrastructure should receive around USD 30 bln foreign investments for the span of 4 years', he said.
According to him in order to achieve that Kazakhstan has to continue work on projects of prior sectors of economy. 'We, definitely, encourage investments to oil and gas, mining sectors but we now intent to develop the other sectors such as industrial complex, engineering, information technologies, etc', A. Issekeshev added.
Vice Prime Minister also said that precise figures in investments would be announced during this month.
