Kazakhstan to boost oil supplies to Germany to 2 mln tons

 Kazakhstan may boost oil exports to Germany to 2 million metric tons per year, Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev revealed Friday, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The exact volume of the Kazakh oil supplies and its transit to Germany will be determined after talks with the Russian side since the oil is shipped via its Druzhba pipeline.

Minister Satkaliyev said during President Tokayev’s visit to Germany, the German side expressed interest in ramped up oil supplies from Kazakhstan. The talks with the Russian side on unhampered transit of the Kazakh oil through its territory are underway.

According to Satkaliyev, Kazakhstan, in its turn, stands ready to ramp up its oil exports to Germany.
