Kazakhstan to brace for blizzard and black ice

Kazhydromet issued a weather forecast for Kazakhstan on December 17, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The western and northwestern parts of Kazakhstan will stay under the impact of the northern anticyclone, which will bring weather with precipitation (rain and snow). Other parts of the country will enjoy weather with no precipitation.

The country is also forecast to observe wind strengthening, blizzard and black ice in the northwest, and fog in the west.

Night temperatures are expected to decrease to 25-28°C in the north, center, in the mountainous areas of Zhetysu and Almaty regions.
