Kazakhstan to brace for blizzard and precipitation

An Atlantic cyclone is shifting toward the territory of Kazakhstan, the National Met Office Kazhydromet has warned, Kazinform News Agency reports.

On January 16, the cyclone is to bring precipitation to the country’s western, southern and southeastern parts as well as snow to the rest of the country as well as heavy precipitation to the mountainous areas of the south, southeast.

Kazakhstan is also to expect high winds, blizzards, black ice as well as fog in some areas.

Earlier, the Mets had issued a weather forecast for Kazakhstan for January 15.
