Kazakhstan to brace for blizzard and snow midweek

Kazhydromet issued a weather forecast for Kazakhstan on December 19-21, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Snow and blizzard will batter the greater part of Kazakhstan.

The country’s south and southeast will see sleet, black ice, ground blizzard, and gusty wind.

Heavy snow is anticipated in the northwestern, northern, and central parts of the country on December 19-20, and in the mountainous regions of the southeast on December 20. 

The country’s west will enjoy weather with no precipitation on December 21. Temperature decrease is expected in the north, south, and center. The country is also forecast to observe fog.

Night temperature will fluctuate in the north (from -3-13°C to -5-18°C) and in the east (from -10-26°C to -7-20°C).

Night temperatures are expected to decrease to -10-20°C in the northwest, north, -13-25°C in the center, -7-13°C in the south, southeast, -15-18°C in the mountainous areas.
