Kazakhstan to brace for heavy rains Fri

Unsteady weather persists throughout Kazakhstan bringing rain and thunderstorms, hail and squalls. The country’s north is set to brace today for heavy downpours. High wind and fog are in store for regions, Kazinform News Agency cites Kazhydromet.

The heat is expected to bake today Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Zhetysu and Abai regions.

The fire threat remains high in Atyrau, Abai, Ulytau, Zhetysu, Karaganda, West Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, Mangistau, and Almaty regions.

The extreme high fire threat is in effect in Mangistau, Kyzylorda, Turkistan, Almaty, Zhambyl, Ulytau, Zhetysu, Atyrau, Kostanay, east Kazakhstan, Karaganda and Abai regions locally.
