Kazakhstan to brace for thundershowers and baking heat
Kazhydromet issued a weather forecast for Kazakhstan for Monday, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Thunderstorms persist across Karaganda region today with a high fire threat remaining in the region's west, north, and south.
The scorching heat is expected today in the west of Ulytau region. The extreme fire threat is in place in the greater part of the region.
Akmola region is set to face thunderstorms, hail, squalls, and high wind of 15-20m/s today.
Thunderstorms and hail are forecast to batter West Kazakhstan. Heat indexes are expected to rise as high as 35 degrees Celsius causing a high fire threat.
Heavy downpours are forecast to grip Abai, East Kazakhstan, and Pavlodar regions.
Air temperature will soar in Atyrau region to 35-39 degrees Celsius.
High wind is expected to roll through Kyzylorda region. The high fire threat is in effect in the greater part of the region.
Thunderstorms, hail, and squalls are in store for North Kazakhstan.
Sweltering temperatures are also predicted to grip Aktobe region.
