Kazakhstan to broadcast Janibek Alimkhanuly’s IBF fight

Kazakh boxer Janibek Alimkhanuly (15-0, 10 KOs) will fight against mandatory challenger Andrei Mikhailovich (21-0, 13 KOs) of New Zealand, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.

The event is set to take place on October 4 in Sydney, Australia. It will be broadcasted by Qazsport TV channel at 03:00 pm Astana time.

Janibek Alimkhanuly holds WBO title and IBF title, however, only the IBF world title will be up for grabs.

Previously, the Kazakh boxer failed to shed the weight, as a result of which the bout with Mikhailovich was cancelled. Janibek Alimkhanuly and Andrei Mikhailovich were supposed to fight back in July 13, but the Kazakh athlete was hospitalized due to dehydration after failed attempt to lose weight.
