Kazakhstan to build its first solar power plant

ASTANA. November 5. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ First ever solar power station will be built in Kazakhstan in Almaty IT zone. First Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Albert Rau has made it public at the Kazakh-Austrian business forum in Astana today.

"In Almaty we are developing an IT zone. In particular, together with Germany we will implement a project on solar batteries assembly", A. Rau noted.

A new solar power plant with capacity of 30 MW will also be built with support of German company.
