Kazakhstan to carry out 180 industrial projects worth KZT1.2tln in 2024

Last year, the country carried out 170 projects worth 928 billion tenge in the manufacturing sector. 179 long-term agreements and offtake contacts with domestic manufacturers were concluded, Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the Kazakh Prime minister.

This year, 180 industrial projects to the tune of 1.2 trillion tenge are set to be carried out.

Within the Comprehensive plan for the development of mechanical engineering until 2028, the value added is expected to rise 4.5 times in the sector.

Kazakhstan carries on with the realization of a national pool of around 1,000 investment projects worth 32 trillion tenge. The county launched 298 projects worth 1.8 trillion tenge last year, and is to carry out 326 projects for 3.8 trillion tenge this year.

It was noted that thanks to the measures taken the share of manufacturing has equaled that of mining in the country’s economy.
