Kazakhstan to channel 600B tenge into healthcare system in 2015
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan has allotted 600 billion tenge for the development of domestic healthcare system this year, Minister of Healthcare and Social Development Tamara Duissenova revealed at a press conference on Friday.
"This year we will complete the implementation of the Salamatty Kazakhstan Program. The ministry is planning to map out analogous program in the nearest future," Minister Duissenova noted. In her words, the new program will include four directions. "First of all, we are planning to introduce health insurance system. As you know, Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev tasked to introduce the system on January 1, 2017. A special working group consisting of local experts has already been formed to this end," Ms Duissenova said. "Secondly, we are planning to develop primary medical care and make it available to all layers of our society. Plus, we will improve the system of medical education and training of medical personnel," she added.
