Kazakhstan to decrease copper and silver production

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Copper and silver production of Kazakhstan is expected to drop by 30% each this year due to the reconstruction works at the Zhezkazgan copper smeltery," 1st Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Albert Rau told addressing today's briefing at the Central Communications Service under the President.

Zhezkazgan is the largest ore mining and dressing region. 60% of the Kazakhmys ore extraction falls on Zhezkazgan. Kazakhmys is one of the world's leading natural resources company, based in Kazakhstan. It is listed in Kazakhstan, London and Hong Kong.
