Kazakhstan to develop educational programs and courses on AI

Prime Minister of the country Olzhas Bektenov issued directives to enhance efforts concerning the digital transformation and the implementation of relevant solutions within the framework of the Concept for the Development of Artificial Intelligence until 2029 and the newly enacted Law on Artificial Intelligence during the visiting session of the Government, Kazinform News Agency reports.

“Given the low awareness of the population about developments in the field of artificial intelligence, the Ministry of Digital Development is tasked to further improve the existing digital solutions and inform Kazakhstanis about their use,” the official Telegram channel of the Kazakh Government says.

Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov underscored the need to equip government agency personnel with artificial intelligence tools by 2025. This task was given to the Ministry of Digital Development in conjunction with regional akimats.

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education is tasked with the development of educational programs and courses focused on artificial intelligence.

Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, Zhaslan Madiyev, presented new technologies, including artificial intelligence, at a visiting meeting of the Government. The purpose of the presentation was to optimize the work of government agencies.

It was earlier reported that Kazakhstan and Sweden are looking to strengthen cooperation in environmental protection, green technologies, and AI.
