Kazakhstan to do its best to hold EXPO-2017 at the highest level: Nazarbayev

  ASTANA. November 23. KAZINFORM In Paris, President Nursultan Nazarbayev on behalf of Kazakhstan thanked the BIE member countries for choosing Astana as the host city of EXPO-2017, the presidential press service reports.

"This is the first time the EXPO event will be held in the heart of the Eurasian continent. I am confident the exhibition and its topic 'The Energy of Future' will give a high power impulse to changes in the global energy sector. Our country will go to great lengths to host the event at the highest level," President Nazarbayev stressed.

Nursultan Nazarbayev also invited everyone to come and visit Kazakhstan to enjoy Kazakh hospitality, unique landscapes and to see Astana, a super modern city in the Great Steppe.

The Kazakh capital meets the highest requirements imposed on the host city of the EXPO event. A modern city offering a dynamic and comfortable environment for business and living, Astana has already played a host to big international events, including the OSCE Summit and the Winter Asian Games.
