Kazakhstan to employ 1 mln this year
Kazakhstan is set to employ some one million people this year, Kazinform Agency quotes Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov as saying at today's Government meeting.
734 people have already obtained employment with a half of them accounting for the youth. The Prime Minister said over the past two and half months the set targets should be achieved.
Each region has its own employment plans which specify particular characteristics of labor markets and differentiate state measures.
He said the akimat should actively involve youth in work. For example, spheres such as energy, oil and gas industry, agriculture, food industry, transport and logistics face shortage of experts.
The Premier noted it is necessary to draw attention to the following: today employment centres were transformed as the regional labor mobility centre with district career centres.
He tasked the Labour Ministry and akimats to jointly improve the mechanism of employment monitoring through these centres.
Alikhan Smailov assigned the Labour, and Culture and Information Ministries to raise public awareness of new employment opportunities.
