Kazakhstan to export 11 mln cu m of gas to China a year

Kazakhstan’s gas exports to China will reach 11 million cubic meters a year, Kazinform Agency quotes the Kazakh energy minister telling journalists in Almaty.

The point at issue is 11 million cubic meters of gas a year but the volume of gas will be regulated annually given the capacities of gas producers of Kazakhstan, he told a briefing.

He added that this year plans to export 4.5-5 billion cubic meters of gas and further to increase up to 11 billion cubic meters depending on the indicative balance.

Gas will be delivered from the fields in West Kazakhstan with the key source, Tengiz.
