Kazakhstan to help Belarus get observer status in OIC
Nursultan Nazarbayev said: "Kazakhstan now presides over the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Belarus' desire to be an observer in this organization will be fully supported".
The matter is also reflected in the joint statement signed by the presidents. The document underlines the affinity of views on key international and regional problems, confirms the adherence of the sides to joint actions to counteract slave trade, and expresses the desire of the sides to resolve global ecological problems, BelTA reports.
Belarus and Kazakhstan intend to vigorously cooperate within the framework of various integration associations and international organizations, including the United Nations Organization, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the Single Economic Space.
