Kazakhstan to host Armenian Culture Days Oct 15-16
From October 15 to 16, Astana will host the Armenian Culture Days in Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency learned from the Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Information.
The event will begin with The Fairyland of Armenian Animation program and with screening of Light Drops feature film directed by Arman Chilingaryan in the Kinopark 7 IMAX Keruen.
The Kalibek Kuanyshbayev State Academic Kazakh Musical Drama Theater will host a festive concert with the participation of Armenia’s State Jazz Orchestra. Founded in 1938, the State Jazz Orchestra of Armenia became one of the first jazz bands of the USSR.
A photo exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Sergey Parajanov, Armenia’s renowned film director, screenwriter and artist, will showcase around 45 photos from the archive of the Parajanov Museum.
On October 16, the Kazakh audience is offered to enjoy Yasha and Leonid Brezhnev feature film directed by Edgar Baghdasaryan.
The Armenian Culture Days in Kazakhstan will end with Lyu-Boff play to be staged by Sos Sargsyan Hamazgayin State Theater in the Kalibek Kuanyshbayev Theatre.
