Kazakhstan to host 2025 Asian Juniors and Youth Weightlifting Championships

Kazakhstan is set to pay host to the 2025 Asian Juniors and Youth Weightlifting Championships, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the National Olympic Committee.

This was revealed at an official meeting of the President of the Kazakhstan Weightlifting Federation, Gadji Gadzhiyev, with the heads of the International Federation, Mohammed Jalood Al-Shammari, and the Asian Federation, Mohammed Yusuf Al Mana. The date and the host city will be announced later.

Additionally, during the event held in Doha (Qatar), issues related to the development of weightlifting and strengthening cooperation were discussed.

Earlier Kazinform News Agency reported that Kazakhstan had secured third place at the 2024 World Weightlifting Championships among men and women held in Manama, Bahrain, from 6 to 15 December 2024.
