Kazakhstan to host TransEurasia 2014 International Conference

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - 22 May in the framework of the VII Astana Economic Forum, XIX International Conference on transit-transport potential "TransEurasia 2014" will be held in Astana, according to the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan.

"The conference will be attended by about 300 delegates from more than 20 countries including representatives of transport agencies of Europe, Asia, CIS and Baltic countries, the heads of the diplomatic corps, representatives of about 15 international and financial organizations, about 100 foreign transport companies as well as more than 60 largest companies of Kazakhstan", the statement reads. It is expected that an agreement will be signed between the governments of Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia on "Silk Wind" project which aims to start container train "China - Kazakhstan - Caspian - Caucasus - Turkey-Europe". The program of the event includes the International exhibition "Transit Kazakhstan 2014", which will showcase the latest achievements of the transport industry of the Eurasian region. TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission's session themed "Black Sea - Caspian transit" and the second meeting of transport ministers of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic-speaking countries will be carried out as part of the conference.
