Kazakhstan to implement mandatory e-declaration of goods in 2014
"By the middle of the year it is planned to launch e-declaration of export, and e-declaration of import in a pilot mode, and in the middle of next year to begin electronic declaration of all customs procedures, without the application of paper documents," Zhamishev said.
As he noted, presently, there is a total of 52 permits. This year, the Transport Ministry is planning to transfer to electronic format 42 permits, and 11 more permits next year.
According to the Minister, after computerization of all licensing procedures, which will be in 2015, the Customs Committee will not require any permits from participants of foreign economic activities.
Moreover, as the Minister said, the electronic declaration of goods may be carried out directly from each workplace. Besides, he added, that the transition to the electronic system will decrease the need for brokerage services, creating cost savings for business entities.
