Kazakhstan to boost production of veterinary drugs

Deputy Prime Minister Tamara Duissenova held a meeting for discussing the issue of provision of the domestic market with home-produced medicines and vaccines, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Those attending the meeting were the representatives of the ministry of healthcare, ministry of agriculture, and QazBioPharm national holding, says primeminister.kz

It was informed, that in 2024, the Ministry of Healthcare plans to purchase 50,000 doses of QazVac vaccine.

QazBioPharm also specializes in manufacturing veterinary pharmaceuticals. The volume of their production will be increased. The Ministry of Agriculture is set to purchase 25.8 million doses of veterinary drugs and diagnostic agents.

Head of QazBioPharm Yergali Abduraimov expressed an intention to sign long-term contracts with governmental structures on production and supply of these products.
