Kazakhstan to launch three satellites in 1Q 2014

According to the National Space Agency, the launch of Kazakhstan's first earth distance remote sensing satellite is scheduled for the end of this April. It is built by Astrium EADS and will be launched from Kuru space port. Besides, KazSat 3 will be set also off in April from Baikonur cosmodrome. The second earth distance remote sensing satellite also produced by EADS Astrium is expected to be launched from Yasnyi cosmodrome, the Orenburg region.

As Kascosmos head Talgat Mussabayev said, the country's space industry is buoyant. The country's telecommunications satellites with ground infrastructure, national system of high precision satellite navigation were commissioned. A number of large projects are being realized jointly with the world's leading companies (France, the UK) on the development of test and production facilities of satellite vehicles, a special design bureau, earth remote sensing satellites, etc.
