11 new children's supplementary education centres will open their doors this year in Almaty city as well as Mangistau, Aktobe, Karaganda, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda and Pavlodar regions, Kazinform News Agency cites the Enlightenment Ministry’s press service.

The centers are called to provide additional education and wide opportunities for the cultivation of children’s talents and interests.

Nine children's supplementary education centres were opened countrywide last year. 100 centres will be commissioned by 2027 at large, director of the additional education department Meruert Medetbekova said.

Additional education coverage this year will reach 85%. 1,625 after-school centres across Kazakhstan provide education in scientific-technical, music, arts, ecological-biological, military-patriotic, and other fields so far.
