Kazakhstan to open 65 polling stations abroad ahead of presidential elections
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - 65 electoral stations will be opened by the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan (CEC) abroad, according to its Secretary Bakhyt Meldeshov.
"65 polling stations will be opened abroad in Europe, America and Asia. Citizens of Kazakhstan who are currently abroad can cast their votes by coming to these polling stations," Mr. Meldeshov told Kazinform correspondent. Earlier it was reported that nearly 30,000 citizens of Kazakhstan are currently abroad for various reasons. They are eligible to vote for the presidential candidates on April 26. According to the CEC, over 9,5 million Kazakhstanis are eligible to cast their votes at the upcoming presidential elections.
