Kazakhstan to open new checkpoint on border with China
A new checkpoint is set to be opened on the Kazakh-Chinese border, near the village of Narynkol in Almaty region, Kazinform News Agency reports.
According to governor of the region Marat Sultangaziyev, the border crossing will be opened to more effectively use non-visa regime with China and to attract more tourists to Narynkol. He said it at today’s briefing in the Central Communications Service.
He added that each site included into the country’s tourist map is located in Almaty region.
On November 10, Kazakhstan and China entered into the agreement on mutual exemption of visas.
