Kazakhstan to open one more domestic air carrier

ASTANA. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev met with Pierre Beaudoin, CEO of plane and train maker Bombardier Inc., the Akorda press service said.

The parties focused on the prospects for the company's activity in Kazakhstan, particularly, extension of transport services. "We are interested in cooperation with such a famous company as Bombardier. We plan to create another domestic airline company Air Kazakhstan which will perform domestic flights. As you know, we have set up Air Kazakhstan jointly with BAE Systems. This experience may be useful for the new start-up. We are also interested in transport cooperation. Cooperation in training of domestic pilots, experts for maintenance centers in Kazakhstan is also of great importance," the President said. Pierre Beaudoin, in his turn, emphasized significance of the meeting for further development of cooperation in various fields of transport industry.
