Kazakhstan to purchase C-295 aircrafts of Airbus Military
"Dynamically developing cooperation between the Kazakh Defense Ministry and Airbus Military, a business unit of Airbus, is a result of friendly ties between the leaders of Kazakhstan and Spain," noted Minister Dzhaksybekov.
One of the milestones of the Kazakh-Spanish military cooperation was the signing of a contract on deliveries of military transport C-295 aircrafts.
"The first two C-295 aircrafts arrived in January 2013. Kazakh pilots praised the new aircrafts as versatile, robust and reliable," the press service said.
Kazakhstan's Ministry of Defense is slated to purchase six more C-295 airlifters until 2018. The purchase of two A 400M aircrafts is also under consideration.
A. Dzhaksybekov invited Airbus Military to join KADEX-2014 (Kazakhstan Defense Exhibition) to showcase its A 400M aircraft.
Domingo Ureña-Raso, in his turn, extended gratitude to Minister Dzhaksybekov for active bilateral interaction and stressed his company will go to great lengths to facilitate fruitful cooperation. He also added that KADEX is an internationally-reputed brand of Kazakhstan and that both sides will benefit from Airbus Military's participation in this event.
