Kazakhstan to reduce oil deliveries to Germany
KazTransOil JSC anticipates a reduction in the volume of Kazakh oil delivered to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline, Kazinform News Agency reports.
It is anticipated that KazTransOil will reduce its supplies from 145,000 tonnes in September to 133,000 tonnes in October.
“KazTransOil JSC transported 145,000 tonnes of Kazakh oil via the Uzen - Atyrau - Samara (UAS) oil pipeline, subsequently through the main oil pipelines of PJSC Transneft, to the Adamova Zastava oil delivery point for for further delivery to Germany in September 2024. A total of 133,000 tonnes of Kazakh oil are scheduled to be shipped along this route in October 2024,” the Kazakh Ministry of Energy stated.
However, the Ministry observed that Kazakhstan delivered 1,081,000 tonnes of Kazakh oil in this direction in the period from January to September 2024. The volume of oil transportation for the same period in 2023 was 590,000 tonnes.
Earlier information was made available regarding the scheduled maintenance works at the Kashagan field, which were set to commence in October.
It should be recalled that in September, Energy Minister Almassadam Satkaliyev stated that Germany had requested an increase in oil supplies to 2.5 million tonnes.
KazTransOil JSC transported 138,000 tonnes of Kazakh oil via the Aktau sea port in the direction of the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline in September 2024.
It is anticipated that 160,000 tonnes of oil will be transported via this route in October 2024. In the nine-month period of 2024, the quantity of oil shipped through this route reached 1,092,000 tonnes. In the same period of 2023, 990,000 tonnes of oil were shipped via this route.
In the period between January and September 2024, the volume of transit of Russian oil through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to 199,000 tonnes. In the same period of 2023, 80,000 tonnes of oil were sent through this route.
