Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a regular meeting of the Asset Recovery Commission, Kazinform News Agency learned from the press service of the Government.

The Commission approved the conclusion of the agreements on transfer of more than 525 billion tenge for the implementation of social projects under the law on the return of illegally acquired assets to the state.

The funds will be transferred to the Special State Fund and will be spent on construction a 120-seat sports complex for gifted young athletes in Arkalyk, a rehabilitation center for children with muscle-skeleton disorders in Astana, and a 400-seat training center for people with special needs.

“As the Head of State said, all the recovered funds must be utilized for the benefit of the citizens of Kazakhstan. Since the year beginning, the Commission has approved the agreements on the return of assets to the total amount of 900 billion tenge. A number of social infrastructure facilities is under construction now,” Olzhas Bektenov said.

Earlier, the President set an instruction to build a sports complex in Zerenda village of Akmola region and a school of music in Temirlan village of Turkistan region using the recovered funds.
