Kazakhstan to spend more than $1 bln on exploration works
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan will earmark KZT 161 billion (more than USD 1 billion) for geological prospecting works in 2015-2019, Chairman of the Geology and Subsoil Management Committee under the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and New Technologies Mr. Bazarbai Nurbayev told the Tuesday press conference in Astana.

"The priority will be placed on new technologies and world-class expertise. "Kazgeology" JSC is already involved in that process. Corresponding contracts have been signed with internationally reputed partners," B. Nurbayev noted.
He also stressed the committee had drawn up specific recommendations on how to present geological data to potential investors. The Ministry of Industry and New Technologies is expected to approve these recommendations.
