«The annual capacity of PCK Raffinerie exceeds 11 million tones of crude oil. The oil refinery covers 90% of Berlin’s and Brandenburg Federal Land’s demand in gasoline, diesel, heating and aviation fuel. The enterprise has the highest technical and economic indicators in Europe. In 2022, the German government applied to Kazakhstan with a request to supply Kazakh oil to the refinery.

From February to July, Kazakhstan supplied 390 thousand tons of oil to Germany via Druzhba pipeline. In June 2023, President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Rosneft Deutschland signed a contract on crude oil supply. I would like to note that the contractual obligations are fulfilled. We plan to supply at least 890,000 tones of oil to Germany this year,» said KMG CEO Magzum Mirzagaliyev.

In Berlin, Mirzagaliyev met with Michael Kellner, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, and Jörg Steinbach, Brandenburg Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour and Energy. The sides discussed cooperation in oil and gas sector.

The German officials confirmed their interest in increasing the volumes of Kazakh oil supply.
