Kazakhstan to suspend bed tax

Kazakhstan suspends levying a bed tax, vice minister of tourism and sport of the country Yerzhan Yerkinbayev said, Kazinform Agency reports.

It was decided to end a bed tax, which causes inconveniences for domestic businesses as well as foreign tourists, said the vice minister of tourism and sport.

Around KZT500mln was collected since the introduction of the tax across the country.

Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan's Saty village had been named one of the world's best tourism villages.
