Kazakhstan to transfer to European tariffs on gas in 2011: Massimov
ASTANA. January 21. KAZINFORM. Kazakhstan should prepare for transfer to the European tariff making in gas consumption in 2011. Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov has announced it at a Collegium of the Kazakh Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources; Kazinform reports.
?I took part in a gas dispute between Russia and Ukraine. An important conclusion, which we should make, is that the Russian Federation will transfer to the European prices, selling gas to Ukraine and other countries in 2011?, K.Massimov said.
According to him, the Russian suppliers sell gas to Ukraine at a price, which is lower than the European one by 20 percent, next year ? by 10 percent, in 2011 ? at the European price.
?We should prepare for this period. It means that we should transfer to another tariff making?, K.Massimov emphasized.
