Kazakhstan to vote for its athletes uniform for 2024 Paris Olympics

A popular vote will determine what uniform Kazakhstani athletes will wear at the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics, Minister of Tourism and Sports Yermek Marzhikpayev revealed at the Wednesday press briefing, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The decision to hold the popular vote was made after several athletes slammed the manufacturer of uniform for Kazakhstani athletes for providing them with poor-quality clothing pieces and shoes for the latest Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.

According to Minister Marzhikpayev, a special commission is checking the claims of the athletes and work of the sports uniform manufacturer. The results of the investigation will be made public shortly.

The uniform Kazakhstan’s national Olympic team will wear at the 2024 Paris Olympics will be presented in February.

The mechanism of the popular vote to choose the best option of the uniform will be revealed later.
