Kazakhstan transported 285.1 thousand tons of oil through BTC pipeline

BAKU. January 23. KAZINFORM /Arnur Mukhametkarim/ According to Azerbaijan State Committee on Statistics 285.1 thousand tons of Kazakhstan oil have been transported through ?Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan? pipeline, Kazinform reports.

The oil is transported by tankers from Aktau to Sangachal terminal in Baku suburb where the pipeline starts. As earlier reported the transportation of Kazakhstan oil by the pipeline started in October 2008. In particular, in October the pipeline pumped 17.4 thousand tons of oil, in November ? 119.3 thousand tons and in December ? 148.4 thousand tons. As a result, in 2008 32.8 mln tons of hydrocarbon crude was transported by the pipeline that is 15.3% higher against 2007 indices.
