Kazakhstan trapped by rains, hail

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Disturbed weather is set to persist in most regions of Kazakhstan today, July 29, according to Kazhydromet, Kazakhstan's national forecaster. Unlike other regions, southern and western Kazakhstan will enjoy weather with no precipitation.

Wind will strengthen up to 15-22m per sec in the Almaty, Zhambyl, South Kazakhstan, Pavlodar and Kostanay regions. Hail and stiff wind gusting to 17-22m per sec are expected in the Akmola, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan and North Kazakhstan regions. Meteorologists report that fire hazard remains extremely high in southern and central Kazakhstan.
