"Kazakhstan: Treasures of the Great Steppe" exhibition to open in Paris Nov 6
On November 6, as part of the Kazakh President’s visit to France, an exhibition on Kazakhstan: Treasures of the Great Steppe will kick off at the Guimet National Museum of Asian Arts in Paris, Kazinform News Agency learned from the Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Information.
The exhibition became a result of a thorough preparation and joint efforts of the National Museum of Kazakhstan and Azret Sultan State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve.
The exposition will feature 35 rare artifacts reflecting the key periods of Kazakhstan’s history. The visitors will see unique items reflecting nomadic culture and its connection with the development of statehood: from the Hunno-Sarmatian period, medieval Turkic khanates, The Golden Horde and to the Kazakh Khanate, the ministry says.
The exhibition will also feature an immersive multimedia content which will allow the visitors to delve into the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan.
As reported, from November 4 to 5, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay a state visit to France, at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron, Kazinform News Agency learned from the Akorda press service.
Highest-level talks aimed at further development of the cooperation in trade-economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian spheres will be held during the visit.
The Head of State is expected to hold a number of meetings with the representatives of the French business community.
