Kazakhstan, Türkiye sign military cooperation plan for 2025

A delegation of Kazakhstan led by Colonel Olzhas Khussainov, head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Defense, visited the capital of Türkiye, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The representatives of the Kazakh and Turkish defense ministries held regular negotiations, following which a military cooperation plan for 2025 was signed.

From the Kazakh side, the document was signed by Olzhas Khussainov, and from the Turkish side the agreement was signed by Brigadier General Çatal Erdoğan.

According to Khussainov, the talks focused on the issues of cooperation in military education and science, peacekeeping activity, combat and medical training. The plan also includes exchange of high-level visits.

In late December 2024, Ruslan Zhaksylykov, Minister of Defence of  Kazakhstan met His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE. The parties discussed cooperation between the UAE and Kazakhstan and ways to strengthen ties across various fields for the mutual benefit of both countries and their friendly peoples.
