Kazakhstan turned into country aimed at future - SCO Secretary General
"Now, Kazakhstan begins the election campaign and this period is very important for political, social and economic life of the country," D. Mezentsev said.
"It hasn't been a really long period from 1991 in terms of history. However, Kazakhstan not just changed but turned into a country with the balanced economy and aimed at the future. Surprisingly, thanks to wise, state foreign and internal policy, Kazakhstan earned its place in the SCO space, in relations with the CIS countries and other non-governmental and international organizations," SCO Secretary General Dmitry Mezentsev noted.
D. Mezentsev also noted development and prosperity of Kazakhstan's capital city. "I was at the reception dedicated to the Independence Day Mr. President held last year. Everybody's surprised how it was possible to totally transform the city located in unfavorable climate conditions. Astana is a spacious city aimed at future. It is not surprising that holding of the EXPO-2017 will be one of the stages of the city," he shared his opinion.
Besides, D. Mezentsev noted "Nurly Zhol" Program. "Nurly Zhol" Program is not just an economy policy of Kazakhstan and a development program but the answer to challenges and threats. The program is a key to resolution of the major problems the country could face in the 21 st century," he added.
